- 8-10 rice paper wrappers
- 1 cup protein of choice ground chicken, shrimp, tofu, or pork, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded vegetables cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, or bell peppers
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp ginger minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch slurry 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water, optional for binding
- Cooking oil spray for crisping
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
Heat a pan over medium heat and add sesame oil.
Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant (~1 minute).
Add protein and vegetables, cook until soft (~4-5 minutes).
Stir in soy sauce and cornstarch slurry (if using) for binding.
Let the filling cool before assembling.
Step 2: Assemble the Dumplings
Dip a rice paper wrapper in warm water for 5-10 seconds until soft but still firm.
Place 1-2 tbsp of filling in the center.
Fold the sides in, then roll tightly like a burrito.
